Ng Mun Hong has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from University of Malaya, 1990.
However, his passion in literary work has turned him into a successful freelance translator since March 2005.

After attending a translation workshop from Chinese to Bahasa Malaysia, conducted by the Malaysian National Institute of Translation (ITNM) and PERSPEKTIF between December 2011 and January 2012, he became more competent in Bahasa Malaysia translation.​ Over the years, he has been involved in a number of translation projects, from English to Chinese, English to Bahasa Malaysia, and vice-versa.
